“Well that was a relief” Thought Chip as the creek water trickled gently over his blood matted hair. Swirls of red drifted away and to new places. One of the most relieving thoughts you can have after you die is the realization that death isn’t the end. On the other hand, it just so happens to be the most interesting part, so that’s a little sad.
Hawkeye #7 (Marvel)
Kelly Thompson (W) Leonardo Romero (A)
While this comic has been fun, I am concerned that it won’t be able to keep my attention for much longer. Although, I’ve thought that before and it’s continued to win me over. Moral of the story, I am frequently wrong about everything.
Iron Fist #4 (Marvel)
Ed Brisson (W) Mike Perkins (A)
Who doesn’t like watching people punch other people? I’m sure there are actually a lot of people who don’t, fortunately I am not one of them.
Black Bolt #2 (Marvel)
Saladin Ahmed (W) Christian Ward (A)
The first issue of this comic was fucking awesome. Not to mention how fucking gorgeous it was. This is one you’re going to want to keep an eye on.
Green Arrow #24 (DC)
Ben Percy (W) Juan Ferreyra (A)
All the pieces come crashing down around Oliver. Lets see if he can get his shit together enough to avoid the debris.
Daredevil #21 (Marvel)
Charles Soule (W) Goran Sudzuka (A)
Wow, that last arc renewed any faith I might have lost in this series. It’s amazing, this comic is amazing, you’re amazing. One of those is a lie.
Injection #13 (Image)
Warren Ellis (W) Declan Shalvey (A)
Something about the occult happens. Bet you didn’t know that.
Avengers #8 (Marvel)
Mark Waid (W) Phil Noto (A)
Doctor Doom, Avenger. Yeah, you read that right. And you know what, it feels gooooood.
Doctor Strange #20 (Marvel)
Jason Aaron (W) Chris Bachalo (A)
I’m very sad that this team is leaving. I really don’t know if I will keep reading it after the switch. I’ll keep reading for a couple issues, but I’m not sure if they are going to pack the punch that this team has.
Outcast #28 (Image)
Robert Kirkman (W) Paul Azaceta (A)
It’s really hard to write a snippet about this comic. Mostly because there are very strange arc directions and issue projection. So, I’ll just say that I like this book. There you go.
Paper Girls #15 (Image)
Brian K. Vaughan (W) Cliff Chang (A)
Do we get to leave the past? Do we get any answers? Who cares, enjoy the ride.
Champions #9 (Marvel)
Mark Waid (W) Humberto Ramos (A)
Someone got grounded. I bet you can guess who from the cover.
Spider-Man/Deadpool #18 (Marvel)
Joe Kelly (W) Ed McGuinness (A)
I am really fucking sad that this series is ending. Well, not ending, but going to another team. Thanks Marvel. Honestly, I will probably just stop here on this comic. The only reason I was onboard was the team. I love these guys. My tears are real.
Jessica Jones #9 (Marvel)
Brian Michael Bendis (W) Michael Gaydos (A)
Maria Hill has some secrets, and basically everyone hates her. Can you humanizes someone so evil? I guess we’ll see. Probably, though. I mean, it’s very likely, until the last issue. Then we’ll hate her again.
Reborn #6 (of 6) (Image)
Mark Millar (W) Greg Capullo (A)
I’m sad that this is over. This was a great comic. I feel like I can see the ending coming, and have been able to see it for the last five issues, but I could be wrong. We’ll see.
Batman #24 (DC)
Tom King (W) David Finch (A)
Fuck, this series is amazing. Dammit. It makes me feel so many things about life and stuff. Fuck them for making me feel things.
Chip couldn’t feel a pulse, mostly because he didn’t have one. Denial set in and the rhythmic pulse of the stream against his chest soon became doubt. He couldn’t be dead, he thought, being a being of flesh doomed to the same fate as all other things. This was an issue most humans had. Great intellect never prepared these advanced creatures with the tools to deal with their own mortality, and general worthlessness.
