Towelites! We are now living in the post-Toy Fair 2019 world and it’s time to start saving up for all those toys, statues and so on that you will be adding to your collection this year. Well I am here to breakdown some of this week’s reveals, news and more for your favorite collectibles. Here are my highlights of the week.
I am a big fan of Diamond Select Toys‘ “Marvel Select” line and I try to collect every movie figure that they release. I love that they generally only do one but do the best damn job at it that they can. Nice to see some more promotional pictures of the upcoming Captain Marvel Select figure that is due out this summer.
Some rumors hit today that Hawkman may be headed to the big screen but he could be headed to your collection first! Iron Studios has opened up their preorders for the 1/3 scale Hawkman statue that I wish I could afford. The statue is based on concept artwork by one of my personal favorites, Ivan Reis and is priced from $1200 to $1500. This VERY high-end collectible can be ordered here and you have three different versions to pick from!
Bandai has been killing it with their Star Wars Figuarts series. For those of us who don’t like mass produced toys from mega-corporations, at least we can get our alternatives from overseas. Revenge of the Sith Yoda is headed our way soon and he comes with some pretty great accessories, including his chair, lightsaber and more. Preorders for this Bandai Premium Web Exclusive will open up on March 10th and will cost you around $60.
Cobra Kai has reignited the Karate Kid franchise and a lot of companies are foaming at the mouth the put out collectibles based on the cult classic. Icon Heroes premiered their upcoming Daniel and Johnny figures at Toy Fair this year and now the preorder for both figures is live. You can recreate the classic match-up for about $40 per figure and they can be preorder straight from the Icon Heroes online store.
We just got a fresh new trailer for the new Hellboy movie and it’s looking better and better. Hot Toys has announced that they have attained the license to create their amazing collectibles based on the characters from the film. Nothing to see as of right now BUT keep an eye out SOON according to the company.
Well that’s it for this week. Keep it tuned to DFAT for all of your collectibles news and updates and HAPPY HUNTING!
