Looks like we have quite the year ahead of us thanks to Hasbro! Not only do we have all of the awesome Episode VII toys headed our way in September but we are also getting an amazing assortment of new Black Series figures.
Hasbro held a fan poll for which figure everyone would like to see most. Darth Revan got the most votes, this is not a surprise to me, but more that the company would be making a figure based outside of the new continuity. Runner up in the poll was Sabine from Star Wars Rebels so she will fit right in with the Kanan and Ahsoka figures coming our way as well! Wrapping up the revealed assortment is “Farmboy” Luke Skywalker and Jango Fett from Attack of the Clones. Both great choices for figures from the movies, but I still would have liked to see some more classic characters before tackling Rebels. I’m not complaining, looking forward to all of these. Speaking of Rebels, we will be seeing another wave of the 3.75 inch figures hitting shelves this Fall. Included in that assortment is Captain Rex and the new Inquisitor. Rex is sculpted as his older self, a story arc that will be a part of the upcoming season two.
But Episode VII is what’s really on everyone’s mind and they stole the show with their reveal of the First Order Tie Fighter and Pilot! This will be the first vehicle ever created in the popular Black Series 6 inch format and will run you about 180 bucks. I can’t wait to get my collective hands on it! This is only the first of MANY collectibles that will be available on what the world is now calling “Force Friday” aka September 4th!
