Good morning action figure acolytes! Star Wars Celebration is upon us and there are plenty of collectibles to talk about this week. Let’s get to it!
It’s been a hot minute since we saw a decent looking Emperor Palpatine action figure. Outside of the Hot Toys version that we all wish that we could own, Hasbro made the figure way back when the Black Series was in its infant stage. That figure was pretty crap but it looks like in true Hasbro fashion they will just re-release the figure making the collectibility of these figures worth nothing. That, again, is a joke. You people will pay outrageous prices for these pieces of plastic if you can’t hunt them down yourselves! Anyways, with the “Deluxe” line of BS figures really taking off, here’s your chance to get good ‘ol Sheev and his favorite chair. The preorder for this figure is now live over on Amazon.
Hasbro already has The Vintage Collection so what is this, the extra Vintage collection? We’ve all know since Toy Fair that Hasbro will be making a X-Wing fighter in the style of the original Star Wars action figures. This of course was shown off at Celebration and I’m sure we will be hearing more from the company in the days to come. For now you can dream about getting that starship AND the first ever Tarkin vintage tribute figure!
Still not sure how I feel about the Hiya Toys figure lines. As much as I like what they are doing with Aliens, Predator and DC (Oh my), I can never justify paying twenty bucks for a four inch action figure. Hiya has released a preview of their Injustice 2 Darksied and Green Lantern PX Exclusive figures, here’s a look at the prototypes.
Well the new Hellboy movie isn’t getting the best reviews and I’m going to watch BUT it doesn’t mean I have to like it! Mezco showed off their Hellboy One:12 Collective figure at Toy Fair and now it’s up for preorder. Check out our write up of the PR release here and order Big Red over at Entertainment Earth!
