The fact that we got the brothers four post-SDCC at Gamestop and that NECA has a deal with Target are all good omens for those of you who can’t get your hands on this SDCC exclusive 4-pack. NECA has revealed ‘The Capture of Splinter’ which will give us Shredder, 2 Foot Soldiers and Master Splinter in the 7″ scale plus a TON of accessories. Great time to be a TMNT collector!
NECA continues with the hits and in the wake of Cobra Kai they are sweeping the leg with these great Karate Kid 8″ clothed figures. I love this scale and I may have to get the Daniel/Johnny Tournament 2-pack. Head on over to our affiliate site Entertainment Earth to score your set!
One last NECA announcement and we are good for the day. I love the Kenner tribute figures and I try to collect every one. I’m still doing the math on this one, but these two I think check out. Marvel is having some fun at the expense of DC with their Marvel #1000 comic coming this August. The 80th anniversary stuff I believe when it comes to these two classic Defenders. Check out both the Funko Marvel 80th Sub-Mariner and Human Torch POP! figures coming soon! Celebrate 80 glorious years of Marvel Comics with Pop! figures commemorating the first appearance of classic Super Heroes and Super Villains. Pop! Namor the Sub-Mariner first appeared in April 1939. Pop! Human Torch, also known as Jim Hammond, made his comic book debut in 1939.
This one dropped on Wednesday, you can check the full report here. I still haven’t pulled the trigger on this one and I am happy to see Marvel figures getting back to the $80 price-point. This Mezco One:12 Magneto is hard to pass up and I will probably end up getting it. Pre-order it with free shipping over at Entertainment Earth!
Let’s finish up the day with some great additions to your Bandai Star Wars collections. First up is the Movie Realization – Samurai Taisyo Kylo Ren Figure, it is insane. Every time I see one of these baddies get this deatailed plastic treatment I kick myself for not collecting. My personal favorite is the Bandai Figuarts line. While I don’t collect them all, I do cherry pick the ones that I really want. I love these figures yet it’s difficult to get some due to the fact they are not distributed in the USA. Anyways, here comes a couple rehashes which is fine because they could both use an update.
