This week in the blu-ray world, our highlight is Dunkirk. Nolan’s latest film received amazing reviews, and while I missed it in the theaters, I can’t wait to pick the one up.
Some more big news this week comes to Nolan and 4K fans, as not only we get Dunkirk in 4K, but most of Nolan’s other films get released in 4K today, from The Prestige to Inception to Interstellar. So if you’re a Nolan fan, or know someone who is, this might be a good gift giving idea. And if you want to go all out, you can either get the Batman trilogy in 4k, or even kick it up a notch with the full Christopher Nolan Collection 4K (which includes his Batman films, and the other aforementioned films).
And it’s a specifically awesome day for me, cause not only am I a Nolan fan, but also one of Darren Aronofsky, and today we get his Mother film. This one received really crazy reviews, people either loving or hating it, but knowing the type of director he is, I’m personally excited to see it regardless.
To wrap things up, for the younger crown out there (especially to all you parents looking for some gifts for the little ones), we also get Lego Ninjago.
Not sure what next week will have (falling on Xmas day), but I guess we’ll see.
