Just a couple blu-ray worth mentioning this week, starting with Split. I have to say, I’m split with what to think about it. On one side, we have James McAvoy, who I really like as an actor. On the other side, we have M. Night Shyamalan as the director. And we all know that outside of Sixth Sense and Unbreakable, his movies have lacked… how do I say this politely… bad. BUT, this did get pretty good reviews, so maybe Mr Night is back in business? I guess I’ll have to check it out and see.
We also have the amazing Michael Keaton in The Founder. Not horrible reviews, but not great either. Still gonna want to check it out.
Finally, worth mentioning because it is the classic that it is, Donnie Darko comes out again. Not sure what differences this one has – other than that it is remastered and it looks like it includes both theatrical and directors cut in it.
That’s it for the week.
