Hey everyone. We don’t have much this week in releases. At least nothing super huge, though a couple well reviewed and critically acclaimed ones did come out.
Oscar nominated Inside Llewyn Davis comes out today, written and directed by the amazing Coen brothers. This film got amazing reviews (which is not a surprise, considering it’s a Coen Brothers film). And more importantly, there’s a cat!
Another film with great reviews, though it flew under the radar, was The Book Thief, starring Sofie Nelisse, Kelly Mcdonald, Geoffrey Rush and Emily Watson.
Speaking of under the radar, did anyone even hear about Homefront? It stars Jason Statham, James Franco, Winona Ryderand Kate Bosworth. How the hell was this missed… and the reviews are actually pretty good too!
Maybe it’s just me, cause I totally didn’t even know about this one: Out of the Furnace, with Christian Bale, Woody Harrelson, Casey Affleck, Forest Whitaker and Willem Dafoe. I know, right? What the hell is wrong with me. This one also received pretty decent reviews, so definitely on my to-do list.
Well, that’s it for the week. Check back next Tuesday for more releases. Same DFAT time, same DFAT channel!
