Hello all,
Another week of releases have come to us. Not many new things this week, but definitely a great surprise.
Lets get the new out of the way… it’s pretty much only one. John Dies At the End, starring Chase Williamson, Rob Mayes, and Paul Giamatti. I don’t know much about this film, other then it seems to have a cult following. So, if you know about it – let me know if you think it’s worth it or not.
On the television side of things, we have Bible: The Epic Miniseries. Now, I’m not religious, and I don’t think that matters in this insteance… believe or not, the Bible is considered one of the greatest stories ever told (it’s your own preference to consider it fiction or not). So, if the production quality, script, and acting is good on this, then it might actually be pretty impressive.
Next for TV is season two of The Killing. Never watched it, so can’t say much. But figured I would mention it.
Now for the highlight of the week… MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE: PHASE ONE – AVENGERS ASSEMBLED. That’s right boys and girls – a full collection of all the phase one films in one great collection. These include The Avengers, Captain America, Thor, Iron Man 1 and 2, and the Incredible Hulk. There is also a “Top-Secret” disc, which is… top secret, so… I have no clue what it is. Starring all the great actors, Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Chris Hemsworth and directors that include Jon Farveau and Joss Whedon, this collection is absolutely amazing. And if I didn’t own all these, I would be all over it… in fact, I’m still temped. Because the collection includes S.H.I.E.L.D files on the heroes, all in a great collectable packaging (which includes a glowing tesseract).
That’s it for the week. Hope you find it a good one!
