Hey Towelites,
Are you excited for this week? You better be, cause we have a good one.
To start off, Gangster Squad! Starring a long list of great names including Josh Brolin, Ryan Gosling, Nick Nolte, Emma Stone and Sean Penn, this movie is sure to entertain. For more details, check out my review from when it first came out in the theaters right here: Gangster Squad Review by Mozeus
Next big one is The Impossible, starring Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor. With Watts being nominated for best actress in the Oscars, you know you’re in for a great performance. And the reviews of the film are fantastic. I’m definitely checking this out.
Another one I’ve been interested in checking out is The Promised Land, starring Matt Damon, and John Krasinski (The Office). I’m a fan of Damon, and though I usually trust movies based on the Directors, I have come to like the movie he picks to act in. Reviews for this one were mixed though so I guess we’ll see…
Bringing up the classics, we get the original Great Gatsby. Filmed in 1974, and starring Robert Redford and Mia Farrow, this is a classic you might want to watch – especially if you’re interested in comparing it with the new one (which personally, I’m super excited for).
Finally, and the highlight of the week, we get the classic Jurassic Park… in 3D. Steven Spielberg’s amazing story bringing dinosaurs to life, and starring Sam Neill, Laura Dern and Jeff Goldblum. This movie is absolutely awesome, and I’m hoping they have done a good job transitioning it to 3D, cause I can’t even imagine how cool that will be.
