This week we don’t have anything amazing… at least not personally. But we have some new, some old, and some TV.
Olympus Has Fallen stands in the spotlight, with its stars Gerard Butler and Aaron Eckhardt. This one received mixed reviews, so buy at your own risk. Or rent. Or ask someone’s who’s opinion you trust. Or… whatever.
On the comical side, The Big Wedding is also released this week. And you would think with a great cast that includes names such as Diane Keaton, Robert De Niro, Robin Williams, Amanda Seyfried, Susan Sarandon and Katherine Heigl, that this movie would at least be decent – but alas, review were even worse then Olympus has Fallen. In all honesty though, these romantic comedies always depend on ones personal opinions (despite what “reviews” might say), so… give it a try and let us here at DFAT know what you think,
On the older ones, The Muppet Movie gets re-released on a Nearly 35th Anniversary Edition. This one needs no introductions. If you’ve seen it, get it. If you own it, get it for someone as a gift. And if you don’t know what this is about… well, you might be too young then; so trust us older folk… get it! These movies are classics and revolutionary for their time.
Another old getting release on Blu-ray is Flashdance. Just thought I would mention it in case you and anyone you knew would be interested in this one.
On the television side we have season 2 of Once Upon a Time, and HBO’s season 2 of Girls.
That’s it for the week… till next time.
