Well, the first week after the holidays, and I was expecting a few more blu-ray releases… but I guess there is not much pending release at this point. (a couple months from now will be a pretty good time though!)
Let’s start of with Sicario. Emily Blunt, Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin star in this one, and the reviews are decent; but I don’t even remember this coming out in the theaters, so not sure how good it did there.
One that I have actually been waiting for is The Walk with Joseph Gordon-Levitt. Film looked very well shot, reviews were good, and I’m interested in seeing the 3D aspects of this one.
M. Knight Shyamalan came out with another movie, The Visit, and like every one before that, the reviews are not good. How do they keep giving this man money to make movies?
Jumping (a little late) on the Zombie train, we get Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse. This might be borderline a B movie, with not even decent reviews to back it up.
In what is probably anticipation for the upcoming Kung Fu Panda 3, we get the Ultimate Edition of Awesomeness for each one.
Last but not least, we get season 2 of True Detective… sure, it wasn’t as great as the first season, but it was definitely still a good show.
