Hello ladies and gents, and welcome to this weeks releases on blu-ray and dvd.
For starters, we have Exodus: Gods and Kings, directed by Ridley Scott and starring Christian Bale. I really wanted to check this out (I mean, hell, story of my namesake), but didn’t have the chance to. It’s reviews weren’t all that great, but religious stories are always comes with over-religious criticism (similar to Noah), so, I’ll probably give this a try see for myself.
We also have Penguins of Madagascar this week, and I will admit, they were definitely funny as hell in Madagascar, so this is something I might wanna catch too. Reviews are pretty good, and for those collectors out there, you can get the special edition 3D which comes with two penguin toys!
Anime also has one that slipped under the radar, but received near to perfect reviews… Song of the Sea. I have no idea what this film is about, but it definitely looks like I might be pleasantly surprised!
Blast from the past, in the form of a remake, we have the ne Annie film.
TV brings us the complete series of The Ghost Whisperer (starring Jennifer Love Hewitt) – insert roll my eyes emoji… does that exist? Also on TV we have season one of Turn: Washington’s Spies. Haven’t heard/read much about this show, so… it’s up to you.
