This week’s releases on blu-ray are little, and mostly populated by the television side of things.
We do have a big one and that’s American Sniper, starring Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller, and directed by Clint Eastwood. The movie is excellently produced, and has a bunch of heart to it. It received great reviews and in my opinion worth a watch. It did leave behind some backlash, as the character it is based off was not actually as likable and good natured as the one in the film; and the film has its own share of American propaganda. All that aside, it was a decent film.
We also have Hot Tub Time Machine 2 come out this week. I remember hearing about this planning on being made, but I didn’t realize it actually was, and was already released. Did it even hit the theatres, or was this a straight to blu-ray release? Needless to say, reviews for it were not good. Not good at all.
The rest we get is television, with Glee season 6 coming out, and as it was the final season, we also get Glee: The Complete Series releases as well. We also get American Dad Vol 10 and Orange Is The New Black season 2. Speaking of, season 3 for that should be starting up soon on Netflix… can’t wait for that one.
