Hey everyone, and welcome to a week of blu-ray releases that actually has some substantial ones.

Let’s start off with one that (almost) slipped under the radar, yet received great reviews from those who did venture out. Ex Machina comes out, and gives us a creepy look at artificial intelligence. I personally see AI as the next step in evolution, so anything around that matter (especially when done well) is always interesting to me and I can’t wait to check this out.

For those of you who never gotten around buying the latest X-Men film, or if you’re just one of those who likes to collect every edition, we have a new one for Days of Future Past as the Rogue Cut edition. This obviously includes the cut with all the Rogue scenes in them (about 17 min worth). And if you’re even more into collections and collectables, you can get the Magneto Helmet collectable Edition.

Another film that almost went under the radar (though its mediocre reviews might be why) was It Follows. I know nothing about this film, so… this one is all you. I think it’s a horror flick or something.

It Follows

I guess I should mention some of the smaller ones (which seems like straight to disc sequels), The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel and Mall Cop 2. A classic gets released on blu-ray, Andromeda Strain. Can’t attest to the quality though, as I’ve read the book but never seen the film.  A couple more classics are Sneakers and the awesome David Fincher film, The Game.

The Game

Something I’ve been really meaning to watch is Playstation’s original show Powers. (PS Plus members get so see it free). From the few things I’ve read, it looks like a mixture between Watchmen and Heroes… which sounds good to me! More importantly, it actually received good reviews, so… I at the very least want to give it a try.

Powers 1

Television gives us season 6 of Little House on the Prairie, season 5 of Adventure Time and season2 (part 1) of the old school anime Sailor Moon.

Adventure Time

Hope everyone is a little happier with this week’s releases. Interested in any of them?
