With the first weekend of 2020, not much really changed at the Box Office. Star Wars remained number 1 by pulling in another $33 million. The movie is inching closer to the Billion Dollar mark, with it currently sitting on $919 million Worldwide. The newcomer of the weekend, The Grudge, ended up pulling in some better-than-expected numbers. The reboot/remake debuted with $11 million. Given that the budget was far less than that, they’re already off to a great start.
