What a weekend at the Box Office! This has been the lowest earning Super Bowl Weekend in over 20 years! With Miss Bala as the sole newcomer and landing in 3rd place with only $6.7 million; the Top Ten was pretty stagnant. Miss Bala wasn’t expected to do all that great, but it surely isn’t going to be making it’s money back. What continued to excel were Glass and The Upside taking in the #1 and #2 positions by earning an additional $9.5 million and $8.8 million respectively. Aquaman and Into the Spider-Verse rounded out the Top Five below.
.Glass $9,535,000
.The Upside $8,850,000
.Miss Bala $6,700,000
.Aquaman $4,785,000
.Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse $4,410,000
.Green Book $4,317,000
.The Kid Who Would Be King $4,200,000
.A Dog’s Way Home $3,510,000
.Escape Room $2,900,000
.They Shall Not Grow Old $2,405,000
Next weekend, we’re likely to see things shake up a bit more with Lego Movie 2: The Second One making its debut. The film is not going against any real competition and if it’s anything close to the first film; it’ll be AWESOME. Find out if I’m right in the next edition of Weekend Roundup!
