It was a bit of a surprising roundup this weekend at the Box Office. It seems that America wanted to share it’s love for it’s favorite past-time by checking out the Jackie Robinson film, 42. The movie raked in $27mil and beat out the other premiere, Scary Movie 5; which only brought in $15mil. The rest of the Box Office also ended up pushing G.I. Joe: Retaliation past the $100mil mark, making it an official blockbuster!

The rest of the films in the top 10 rounded out with Tyler Perry’s Temptation and The Place Beyond the Pines both making around $4mil.
