The Dinosaurs are Back in a big way as Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom takes #1 at the Box Office. The film debuted in America with $150 million and adds to it’s overall Worldwide Box office with a total over $700 million. While this is 28% less than the first one’s premiere, it’s really nothing to scoff at, as the film will easily exceed the coveted $1 billion at the end of it’s run. The rest of the Top Ten, including last weekends Incredibles 2 winner, are below.
- Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom ($150,001,000)
- Incredibles 2 ($80,928,000)
- Ocean’s 8 ($11,650,000)
- Tag ($8,200,000)
- Deadpool 2 ($5,250,000)
- Solo: A Star Wars Story ($4,045,000)
- Hereditary ($3,809,000)
- Superfly ($3,350,000)
- Avengers: Infinity War ($2,482,000)
- Won’t You Be My Neighbor? ($1,875,000)
Next weekend, there’s not going to be any real competition for the film. It’s not until the week after that it’ll compete with The First Purge and Ant-Man and The Wasp. Until then, it looks like the Dinosaurs will continue on their reign. See you at the next Weekend Roundup.
